This is an AMAZING, FABULOUS family vacation spot. The home is meticulously maintained with mint condition accommodations and thoughtful amenities. Our kids loved the game room and played air hockey, pool, and watched hockey on the TV every chance they could. When not downstairs, they loved roasting marshmallows at the fire pit and playing frisbee in the beautiful back yard with STUNNING views and privacy. My husband and I loved coffee on the back deck in the morning and sunsets are beyond remarkable. We were able to see the Linville Caverns. Linville falls, jet ski on Lake James and hike Toms Creek falls to the water fall and highly recommend those to visitors (all of which were close drives from the home). The host, Michael, is wonderful!!! He was so generous, courteous, and went out of his way on multiple occasions to accommodate our family and ensure we had the best stay. We give the Appalachian Dream Cabin highest regards!!!

We can't wait to come back! The real-life experience was exactly as described in the listing...although no picture will do the views justice. What I give to regularly enjoy my coffee sitting in that backyard and a glass of wine at sunset. Just incredible. This cabin is perfect for a retreat that is peaceful and relaxing. It's ideal to cook your meals at the cabin. About 30 minutes in each direction is something wonderful to see/do. We enjoyed lunch at the Little Switzerland Cafe (get the Reuben) It's a wild ride up the mountain there. Some of the area is still recovering from Hurricane Helene for example Crabtree Falls is closed however a close hiking option is Toms creek falls about 20 minutes from cabin pretty and on the easier side. Our favorite was Linville falls trail as well as Linville Winery. We also were just an hour drive to the Biltmore Estate in Ashville. Which is a must visit once in your lifetime. The cabin was clean and well stocked with the basics. This host goes above and has a stocked coffee bar and firepit necessities. Just a note: it's a charcoal grill. The driveway is steep. Beds were comfy and towels actually absorbed water. The host went above and beyond to communicate and make sure our stay was perfect. Has a digital guidebook that was very helpful. I repeat we can't wait to go back!

We have been visiting the North Carolina/Virgina mountains for years. This vacation was absolutely epic/perfect. Beautiful weather with a full moon. It truly is all about the cabin and the view. Cabin was first class beautifully decorated. The magnificent view was always changing. The Biltmore Mansion was all decorated for the holidays. Visited several wineries nearby. We will indeed return. We truly thank you for our incredible stay.

We have now visited this amazing place six times now, and for a good reason. We love coming here for the views, the fire pit, the seclusion, the thoughtful touches, and of course, the air hockey. The owner does a phenomenal job of upkeep and upgrades. The cabin itself is our dream cabin (maybe someday!), with the perfect layout, and perfect view, I personally just sit and stare, which is rare for me, but I just want to take it in. The cabin is a short distance to great restaurants and deserts, and of course hiking. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Michael's place was clean and comfortable for our family of 6. We enjoyed venturing out from there to Catawba falls and driving over to Mt. Mitchell. We also enjoyed the fire pit at the cabin, star gazing and board games around the table. Downstairs was a great place for the kids to catch up while those upstairs turned in.

This was our second stay in the cabin, because it has all the conveniences and comfortable touches anyone could wish for in a mountain vacation home. From the well-stocked kitchen to the very comfortable chairs in the living room, to the dining table with stunning views over the mountains to the comfortable bed on the main level. Communication with Michael was great, and the house was very clean. We enjoyed the wildlife that visited the property: wild turkeys, woodpeckers, squirrels, deer, and a flock of guine fowl. On our previous trip we saw two deer in the back yard! We enjoyed our visit very much and hope to return again someday.

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We loved spending time outside on the deck or at the fire pit taking in the views. The cabin is so nice and very well kept. We did a lot of cooking, and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. The grocery store is super close so that was a plus too. We also took day trips to Asheville, the Biltmore, and a couple hiking locations. The host was very accommodating and communicative. We are so grateful to have stayed at this unforgettable location!

Best house in the mountains I have ever rented in NC and I typically rent a home twice a year. Especially spacious for us as we only had 2 couples spending a long weekend together. We really didn't use the downstairs. Beds were comfortable and the home meet all our needs. The views of the mountains were simply stunning. The high-quality outdoor furniture made staying outside so enjoyable. We did all our cooking except for one lunch out and went to Countryside BBQ in Marion. Amazing country cooking. This house will NOT disappoint!

Michael the host was wonderful, quick to respond and had everything laid out perfectly. Our group had a great time celebrating the NEW Year at this lovely cabin.

The cabin is exactly like the pictures. The views are magnificent! It was a bit chilly but being from Michigan that's our weather in December. The owner was very easy to work with, and everything was either labeled or had directions on how to use it.

We have had the chance to stay at this home a few times now. It's larger than we need. We never even go upstairs or down; the main level is all we ever hang out on. Well, and outside in the great chairs and by the fire pit for smores and books. We bring all we need and then some because we always cook all our meals there. Kitchen has what you need to get the job done and the grill is nice to use too. A big plus....at Christmas time there is a tree (more than one) and other decorations which is a must for me.

My husband and I love to stay here. It's our second visit now. We don't even leave! We stock the fridge, make some outdoor fires, grill, read, play games and watch movies. There is a cozy bed and a big soaking jetted tub. There is a lot of wind sometimes so you might not get outside to fire pit when you want but it's remote and quiet which we sought after.
